Sometimes life can throw unexpected curve balls which can turn our world upside-down. We can encounter confusing and difficult circumstances that seem impossible to navigate. Through our existence, we all will experience the joy and pain that comes from simply being human. I am here to support you, wherever you may find yourself. As an empathic individual, I am able to connect deeply with people and open a space for compassion and understanding from a non-judgmental perspective. I want to empower others in making sense of their lives, their unique goals, and to build the skills needed to be happier, healthier, and more successful in life and in love.

As a mother of three and a partner in a 13-year committed relationship, I bring an understanding of the challenges and rewards accompanying some of our most cherished relationships. I also have personal experience in blended family dynamics, bringing a deeper understanding of the additional struggles a family can face in that environment. Through my experiences, I have developed a passion to help others understand their needs, recognize negative cycles, and support new patterns towards finding balance, peace, and a secured connection with their loved ones.

I am currently working towards a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I am an intern here at the MN Couple Therapy Center working under the licenses and supervision of Kurt Wical and Carolyn Dehnbostel. Other education/training include my undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from St. Cloud State University in 2005. Life/Health Insurance Licensed through the Kaplan School of Professionals in 2007. Certified Sexual and Domestic Violence Volunteer Advocate at the Alexandra House in 2019. I became a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator in 2021, which can be utilized in premarital counseling and strengthening existing relationships. I also recently completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is an attachment-based therapeutic approach, proven to reduce distress in couples.

Some of my areas of interest include trauma, sexual and domestic violence, premarital, divorce, blended families and step-parenting, addiction, grief and loss, and sexuality. I am affirming of individuals among various backgrounds, including racial, ethnic, socioeconomic classes, religious, sexual orientation, and gender identities. I provide therapy to individuals and couples at a reduced rate of $30 per hour.
