Welcome/Bienvenidos. The human journey is complex. At times, we feel hopeful and open to possibility; at other moments, we may feel stuck in familiar patterns—overwhelmed, afraid, disconnected, or weighed down by shame or a loss of meaning. When these experiences unfold within close relationships, they can become even more confusing, complicated, and painful. Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of these patterns, and gently restore connection.
At MN Couple Therapy Center, I primarily work with couples and intimate relationships. My style is grounded in Emotionally Focused Couple’s Therapy (EFCT), a research-based approach that helps individuals and partners strengthen their capacity to return to connection, trust, and support—particularly during times of stress or transition. Using the framework of EFCT, I support partners in rebuilding emotional safety, trust, fulfillment, and resilience, while deepening their emotional bonds through moments of both challenge and growth. I also work with family dyads of various forms, such as parent–child (of all ages) relationships. My areas of special interest and training include trauma, early developmental wounding, spirituality, mind-body approaches, adoption, and attachment.
I am passionate about healing and transformation, and about engaging the inherent wisdom of the human heart, psyche, and spirit. Therapy can support the healing of past wounds and traumas while also helping us navigate present challenges with greater clarity, compassion, and intention. As we release limiting beliefs and unresolved hurts, we are better able to live from our authentic inner truth—benefiting both ourselves and the relationships and communities we are part of. I am LGBTQIA+ and poly-affirming. I hold a strong commitment to equity and view healing as both a personal and collective process: as individuals heal, relationships heal; as relationships heal, communities heal.
On a personal level, I am deeply spiritual and an adult adoptee. I have lived and traveled outside the United States and bring a broad range of life and professional experience to my work, including direct activism, youth work, community building through culture and the arts, and massage therapy. I have personally experienced attachment challenges, intercultural partnerships, and larger community conversations around conflictive topics. I spent over a decade studying a cultural wellness framework with Anam Cara and the Cultural Wellness Center. These experiences inform my approach with humility, curiosity, and respect for the complexity of each person’s story.
