I provide both individual and couple therapy. Conflict, disconnection, and loneliness can happen for both individuals and couples. I focus on moving people and relationships in a positive direction based on the goals we establish together. I work with couples on developing or re-affirming trust and creating a more secure relationship bond. I also understand how stressors related to family, relationships and work can create challenges in life.
My approach to change is considered strengths-based, collaborative, and attachment-oriented using therapeutic models such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I have a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy with advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also have a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of MN and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College. Prior to becoming a therapist, I had a career as an executive in the healthcare industry and I continue to do some business consulting. I’ve been married for more than 25 years and have two adult children. My life experience shapes my compassionate approach to helping couples and individuals achieve positive change.
I provide individual and couples therapy under the supervision of Cindy Frederick, MA, LMFT
