My work is deeply relational, trauma informed, and rooted in curiosity. I bring a warm, steady, and engaged presence into sessions, offering a space that is both grounding and meaningful. When you are carrying something heavy, whether that is tension in your relationship, grief, feeling overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, you deserve a place where both the depth of your pain and the hope for something different can exist at the same time.
I work with individuals and couples who are longing to feel more connected, understood, and at ease. If you and your partner feel stuck in painful patterns, therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what is happening between you, and begin finding your way back to one another. If you are navigating intense emotions, identity questions, stress, or conflict at home, I aim to create a space where you can show up honestly and feel met with warmth and respect. You do not need to have it all figured out before you come in.
I create room for the full spectrum of your experience, messy parts, big feelings, awkward questions, quiet hopes, and everything in between. My style is gentle but engaged, reflective yet active. I can sit with grief and complexity while also helping you notice moments of lightness, clarity, and strength that may already be present. Therapy does not have to feel cold or clinical to be effective. It can be thoughtful, steady, deeply human, and at times even allow for laughter when it fits.
My work is grounded in a systemic and relational lens, which means we will pay attention not only to what is happening inside of you, but also to the relationships, cultures, and systems that have shaped your story. Growing up in Minnesota gave me a deep appreciation for community and belonging, and that awareness informs how I hold space for clients as they explore their roots and relationships. I approach therapy with cultural humility and a commitment to ongoing learning. I proudly affirm LGBTQ+ identities and relationships and welcome clients from all backgrounds.
I see clients virtually and in person at MN Couple Therapy Center in Roseville under the supervision of Amanda Pikala, MA, LMFT.
