My focus as a therapist is to support both couples and individuals as you strengthen your most important relationships. I support couples who feel stuck in a repetitive cycle of communication that ends in disconnection, including those who have a history of ruptures or betrayals. With individuals, my specialties are geared toward helping you navigate anxiety, life transitions, or the lingering effects of past trauma that can keep you repeating painful emotional patterns. My approach is both empathetic and direct, while you’ll feel heard and understood. I also aim to challenge you to foster growth and change.
Whether I’m working with a couple or an individual, my approach is rooted in the belief that secure, healthy bonds are at the heart of healing. Together, we’ll explore relationship patterns, connect thoughts and emotions, and tune into how those emotions are experienced in the body, opening the door to new ways of relating to oneself and others.
My education background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Development from San Diego State University and a Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in San Diego, CA. Since then, I’ve pursued advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), two evidenced based models that use emotion in real time to help clients deepen awareness, build connection, and foster lasting change.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can often find me with my family and friends–either playing board games, watching sports or doing crafts. I feel most grounded in nature and enjoy hiking, fishing and kayaking.
