One of my favorite quotes is “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second-best time is today!”. It reminds me that today is a great time to work on making things new again…it’s not too late!
I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary in 2013. I enjoy working with people in all seasons of life but have a special passion for working with couples and parents. My areas of expertise and special interest include working with couples who feel disconnected or distressed due to affairs and other trust breaches, parenting struggles, and communication breakdowns, as well as working with individuals who have experienced past or current trauma.
I am certified in Discernment Counseling (a type of brief couples therapy designed for couples who are uncertain whether they want to continue their relationship, that aims to help partners consider all options before they make the decision to work on or terminate their relationship), and have advanced training in using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I am also certified in EMDR (an effective therapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences).
I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your healing journey!
