Brianna Nelson, MA, is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University. She has completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a research-supported approach grounded in attachment theory. With a background in social work, Brianna brings a holistic perspective to therapy and is passionate about helping individuals and couples create healthier, more connected lives.
Brianna believes therapy is a place to not only understand what is happening, but to practice doing something different. In session, she helps clients slow down, make space for their emotions, recognize unwanted patterns, and practice new ways of responding so they can create meaningful change in their everyday lives. She especially enjoys working with individuals and couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or hopeless in their relationships, helping them move toward greater confidence, connection, and empowerment.
With couples, Brianna helps identify the cycles that keep partners caught in conflict or distance and supports them in developing new ways of communicating and reaching for one another. With individuals, she helps clients build skills that support healthier patterns and relationships.
For clients who desire it, Brianna is also happy to incorporate Christian faith, prayer, and perspectives into therapy.
For couples seeking accelerated progress or who cannot attend weekly sessions, Brianna offers intensive therapy sessions consisting of six hours per day over one or two days. Intensive sessions are not covered by insurance, and costs are determined based on annual household income.
Brianna offers in-person and virtual sessions at the Roseville MNCTC office, accepts most insurance plans, and offers private pay options based on income. She practices under the supervision of Amanda Pikala, MA, LMFT.
