Brianna Nelson, MA, is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University. She has completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a leading, research-supported approach grounded in attachment theory. Using this framework, Brianna helps clients uncover the deeper emotional needs beneath conflict, rebuild secure bonds, and create lasting patterns of connection. With a background in social work, she brings a holistic perspective to therapy, addressing emotional, relational, and practical challenges.
Brianna works with couples to untangle the negative cycles that keep them distant or in conflict, guiding them toward new ways of reaching for each other with safety and trust. She also provides individual or family therapy, supporting clients navigating relationship stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficult life transitions. Her approach combines warmth, empathy, and practical tools, creating a compassionate yet growth-focused environment where clients feel both supported and challenged.
For couples desiring accelerated progress or who are unable to attend weekly sessions, Brianna offers intensive therapy sessions. These are sessions which include 6 hours of therapy per day over 1, 2, or 3 days. Intensives can be especially helpful for couples considering separation or those unable to attend weekly sessions. Intensive sessions are not covered by insurance and costs are determined based on annual household income.
Brianna offers both in-person and virtual sessions at the Roseville MNCTC office. She accepts most insurance plans and also offers private pay options based on income. She is currently practicing under the supervision of Amanda Pikala, MA, LMFT.
