Sometimes life can throw unexpected curve balls which can turn our world upside-down. We can encounter confusing and difficult circumstances that seem impossible to navigate. We can even occasionally find ourselves in the middle of a gale storm and the aftermath has us drowning in deep emotions of despair, sadness, and grief. Through our existence, we all experience the joy and pain that comes from simply being human. I strongly believe that people are the experts of their own lives and I want to be there to support you, whatever storm you may find yourself in. As an empathic individual, I feel this allows me to connect deeper with people and opens space, compassion, and understanding from a non-judgmental perspective. I want to empower others in making sense of their lives, identify unique goals, and build on the skills needed to be happier, healthier, and more successful in life and in love.

As a mother and a wife in a 14-year committed relationship, I bring an understanding of the challenges and rewards accompanying some of our most cherished connections. I also have personal experience in blended family dynamics, bringing a deeper understanding of the additional struggles a family can face in that environment. Through my experiences, I have developed a passion to help others understand their needs, recognize negative cycles, and support new patterns towards finding balance, peace, and a secured connection with their loved ones.

I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I currently practice under the supervision of Carolyn Dehnbostel MA, LMFT. I have completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is an attachment based therapeutic approach, proven to reduce distress in couples. I have obtained a Prepare/Enrich certification in 2021, which can be utilized in premarital counseling and strengthening existing relationships. I have received certification to be a Sexual and Domestic Violence Advocate at the Alexandra House in 2019. I have also attended EFT training with specialty focuses such as addiction and trauma.

Clinical focus includes trauma, premarital, discernment, blended families, addiction, affairs, grief and loss, sexuality, and couples seeking to improve their relationship. I am affirming of individuals among various backgrounds, including racial, ethnic, socioeconomic classes, religious, sexual orientation, and gender identities. I look forward to working with you.
